her name is rio

and she dances on the sand. welcome to spring and that means new life and for the cosbys it means a new dog. laura and i were trying hard for a name. my desire was a spanish name, maybe a long the lines of a saint, then one day i looked at rio and decided if she was an ethnicity she would probably be brazilian leading to rio di janeiro, shortened to rio. so the spanish still remains and duran duran is in our head constantly. will hopefully post a better photo later. she is a german shepard mix, we think the mix may be husky with a broad shoulders, a thick coat and curled tail.

Can't Get Enough

i know by now some may say. who cares Cosby we dont like live music on the internet as much as you. and that could be fine, but i will say, your loss. i cnat believe that NPR does it. they have recently put on their website more music, including a little Death Cab, Son Volt, My Morning jacket, and Iron and Wine w/ Calexico. the SOn Volt and Iron and WIne are completely downloadable as well. over 4 hours of stellar music for free. no strings just download it and listen. i love it. Son Volt is great. Jay Farrar helped in giving birth to the "alt country bands" then took some time off and is back in raw form. anyway suit yourself and love your music.

no one knows when

first sunday of advent. did it go by or did you even know? i didnt until they started lighting the candle. listened to a great sermon on hope and Mark 13. probably one of the passages of scripture that hypes pepole up more than any other. but no one knows, not even the son of man. and i know i am not the only one out there who has said this, "maybe those crazy peple who are looking for earthquakes and wars and disaster are on to something...nahhh that is nonsense...but maybe?!?!?!?" come on now i know someone else has thought that Grandpa Chuck in Costa Mesa may not be all that nuts...anyone....anyone...maybe???

i have been home for Thanksgiving, thanks to the help of my in-laws for flying us home. headed back tomorrow for a couple weeks then back to spokane for Christmas. hopefully will blog something of substance sometime in the near future. i live the cycle of, "oh that would be great to blog about" then to no avail.

was able to hang out with my sister for sometime grab a beer and watch some football together. she was at the seahawks game yesterday and yes pina she has a Moleskine (http://www.moleskine.it/eng/default.htm). pronounced according to her Mol-sk-eye-n
